Amitabh Bachchan buys 1.1 lakh shares in Stampede Capital; stock has raised 30% in a month

MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has found 1.1 lakh shares of brokerage house Stampede Capital Ltd for an estimated Rs 1.21 crore.

As per the information available with the stock exchanges, Bachchan – often called Big B – has acquired 1. 1 lakh shares of Stampede Capital through open market route yesterday.

The shares were purchased on an average price of Rs 109.92, valuing the transaction to Rs 1.21 crore.

Stocks of Stampede Capital have raised more than 30 % within a complete month.

These were trading at Rs 114.today 90 apiece in the afternoon trade on the BSE, 4 up.45 % from the prior close. Through the intra-day trade, the stock acquired touched its 52-week most of Rs 119.95.

From Stampede Capital apart, Bachchan holds stake in another listed company Just Dial also. The Bollywood icon has 0 nearly.09 % stake or 62,794 shares in Dial Just.

Regarding to a disclosure by the company in its IPO prospectus, Bachchan was allotted 62,794 shares at a price of Rs 10 each in 2011, valuing his original investment at just Rs 6.27 lakh. His holdings are now valued at around Rs 9 crore.
